Company:
Financial Services Firm in Stamford, Ct seeks an Assistant Director of Infrastructure for the trading systems environment.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of 2-3 system/support engineers dedicated to
* Service approximately 200+ servers and desktops running a mixture of windows, Linux and Unix Operating Systems in a trading environment.
* Oversee growth of servers and high performance storage environments across multiple global regions.
* Project management (gathering requirements, planning, testing, documentation).
* Lead Engineer for advanced troubleshooting issues and processes.
* Manage staff providing all support globally for the trading team.
* Monitoring systems and services and change controls.
* Work with management on technical specifications and budget requirements of projects and server technology initiatives.
Requirements:
* Strong technical server and network management skills.
* Experience with Staff and Project Management.
* 7-10 years experience in the design and implementation of heterogeneous enterprise infrastructure environment.
* Extensive experience with High performance computing
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Operating systems; Red Hat Linux, MS Windows
* Storage Area Network experience
* File Systems
* Networking
* Scripting
* HP/IBM technology
Location: Stamford, Ct
Compensation: 200-300K
